How To:

Target Muscle(s): Legs, Butt, Hamstrings, Quads, Back

  • (1) Res. Band Squat and Presses — 20 reps. Stand on top of your resistance band and grab the handles (or loop ends) with an overhand grip. Squat down, pause 1 second at the bottom, explode up, and press the bands up overhead. Make sure there’s tension in the bands, but enough length so that you can push them overhead.
  • (2) Res. Band Reverse Lunge and Rows — 10 reps/side. Loop the resistance bands around a pole or railing so that they’re stationary. Take a step back with 1 leg and do a reverse lunge. When your knee hits the ground, row the bands into your chest. Release the bands, step back up, and repeat for the opposite leg.
  • (3) Res. Band Glute Kickbacks — 10 reps/side. Lie on the floor on your hands and knees. Loop the resistance band around your right foot while holding the handles up by your face (standard push up position). Squeeze your butt and kick your right leg up and out as far as possible. Hold 1 second and return back to start.
  • (4) Res. Band Deadlifts — 20 reps. Stand on top of a resistance band so that there’s significant tension in the band (it should feel “heavy” going up, and there should be tension even at the bottom). Hold both handles. Lower your torso until it’s at 90º, contract your butt and back, and powerfully deadlift back up to a full stand. Keep your core tight throughout.
