This Compilation Of Epic CrossFit Fails Is EXACTLY How You Shouldn’t Workout [Video]
I‘m all about pushing yourself like a maniac and working your butt off. But be sensible and semi-intelligent about it.
The guys over at Fail Army put together a compilation of the biggest fails from around the CrossFit universe — effectively a mashup of what not to do during your workouts. And as an FYI, shrieking like a banshee definitely won’t help you squat more. Medicine ball guillotines are no good, either.
Just to be blatantly clear, I actually think the video is mislabeled. Most of the mishaps are not exclusive to CrossFit, and I don’t want to turn this into a CrossFit bashfest (plyometrics, clean & jerks, and pull ups all fall under the umbrella of “normal gym fare”). Point is, regardless of what you’re lifting, climbing, pulling, or jumping on, BE CAREFUL and BE SMART.
Actually go to a CrossFit box, or hire a trainer, and learn the movements. Don’t start rambunctiously doing olympic lifts in your garage, or attempting to bang out muscle ups on a rickety pull up bar.
Drop your ego and do what your body is capable of handling. Start slow. Getting injured is the quickest way to derail progress.

When he’s not working on his (or somebody else’s) abs, whipping up Eggocados, or running a Tough Mudder, he’s probably off yelling at a Carolina Panthers game somewhere.
